Urbana Soccer Association Merges with FC Frederick!!!

In Fall 2009, Urbana Soccer Association merged with Football Club Frederick (FC Frederick) to create, quite simply, the best and most complete soccer club in Frederick County. The merged club has programs from age 4 through age 18 in all levels of soccer. The merged club not only serves the growing Urbana area but also all of Frederick County.

Some club highlights:

• We are a club focused solely on soccer.

• The club serves well over 1,000 youth soccer players.

• We offer soccer programs throughout the year with standard fall and spring soccer offerings, soccer schools and our unique informal and fun indoor soccer league in the winter, and camps as well as our incredibly successful Middle School League in the summer.

• We are the only club in Frederick County to have official slots in the area's two premier soccer leagues - Washington-Area Girls Soccer League (WAGS) and the National Capital Soccer League (NCSL).

• Starting in Fall 2010, we will have over 40 coaches who have received their United States Youth Soccer National Youth License. This license is the gold standard for youth (ages 4-12) coaches. That is more than any other club in Frederick County, and we think, per capita, more than any club in the country.

• Our leading U6, U8 and U9 programs get players off to a great start in soccer focusing on game-playing, individual soccer skills and FUN!!!

• For U10-U19 players, we have offerings in both Travel and Classic soccer. Our Travel teams play in WAGS, NCSL, ODSL, BBSL, etc. Our very best teams can be found in the Region 1 League, ASL, etc. Our Classic teams stay a little closer to home playing in the Frederick County Youth Soccer League (FCYSL). Because we offer both Travel and Classic programs, players are free to move between programs as their skill levels and interest levels change.

• FC Frederick placed four girls soccer teams in the Maryland State Cup Finals in 2010 - more than any club in the entire state!!!

• We are one of a select few clubs on the East Coast to be invited to play in the inagural Atlantic Soccer League (ASL) season in 2010. The ASL is a league for premier U15-U18 boys teams.

• We have had over 275 players move on to play in college. We offer a unique program that prepares our best players for the college recruiting process and the rigors of college soccer.
