President’s Report: (Al Selwyn)   Al reminds all coaches/teams to practice where you are assigned to practice.  We will be reported for not using field space assigned to us at schools, etc. and run the risk of losing that space.       Do not practice on private property as it becomes a liability issue for the Association.  Coaches are reminded to call in their game scores after each game, preferably on game day to 301-865-4600 Press 5.

Coaches are reminded to follow the field lining schedule that will be sent out by Rod McNiff. Coaches are reminded about giving the referee’s their fees before games in cash.  Referee check money will be distributed by David at the county league meeting tomorrow night.

Registrar’s Report:  (Karen Selwyn)   We currently have 459 players registered, which is a record number for our association.  Coaches are reminded not to play or practice with unregistered players.  Also, please let Karen know if for any reason a player drops from your team at any time during the season.

Treasurers Report:  (David Ward) The Field Fund has $5,745.45 and the Operating Budget has $24,450 in the treasury.  There are still a few sponsors that have not paid and lots of bills yet to go.

Vice President’s Report: (Andy Keen) Important Note: No one can practice at Windsor Knolls Middle School on Friday, May 20th.  The parking lots must be clear for a school event.

Secretary’s Report: (Stephanie Downs) Not present.

Presidential vacancy:  (Al Selwyn)  Al will be stepping down as President as of Monday, March 21st. This leaves 1 year to go on the current president’s term. Nominations and volunteer names are being accepted this week by Stephanie Downs via email at sixdownsfamily@aol.com .  Al will make the transition as smooth as possible for the incoming president. If you have any questions, please contact Al.

Dutch 4v4 & Play Day:  (David Ward)  The Dutch 4v4 (for fun) for all Urbana players will be held on Saturday, March 19th and the Play Day between Urbana teams for all age groups will be held on Sunday, March 20th. All teams are expected to attend this event.  Players need to wear their uniforms on Sunday. Emails were sent out with the times/age group, etc. The Play Day is the first chance for some teams to act in a game situation. These will be ½ length games. Uniforms for new players will be in the shed (probably) by Friday evening.  They will be labeled.

College Scholarship:  (Al Selwyn) The scholarship forms are now at UHS and will be advertised through the Soccer coaches and will be on the announcements.  A copy of the scholarship application is also available on the Urbana website. Deadline is May 7, 2005.
